Not anything new, some still remember 2001. The MPAA and RIAA are on a rampage again. They’re shutting down torrent sites and sending out warnings. My question is why blame pirating for the declining record and movie sales…. Did these execs ever sit back and think about the decline in talent behind records and movies. Alexander? Ashley Simpson? Who’s going to remember that in five years? Who would’ve of wanted to pay for that…
When people truly like something they will buy it regardless. Over the years I built up quite a collection of twilight zone episodes. Once the “definitive” collection was released I jumped on it like an old man on Viagra at a hooker convention.
Alienating the consumer into a hateful passion for pirating isn’t the way to go at all. In fact the more they threaten to sue, and the more Gestapo like they become-- the more pirating will live and the stronger it will become. People refuse to pay for crap, plain and simple. Supply good artists and media and we will pay our happy asses off.
Hell yea, Screw them money hungry bastards! I hope they all rot in hell! I download 500,000 songs a minute! yes a minute! I will od on songs soon!

One thing the MPAA has been *real* quiet about is the fact most artists make diddly from album sales ... the artist gets most of their bang from touring. The labels are the ones that really rely on album sales for profits. So clothing themselves in the "we're just trying to protect artists" mantle is pretty dang transparent.

wait a sec..dont you people mean the RIAA? I understand that the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) is going after the moviefile-sharers of the world also..but its the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) is whos in charge of the garbage talent out there.
