Whoa, maybe we should look up sometime

Holy cow.  I was reading through the science section at the bbc and came across this 'Huge 'star-quake' rocks Milky Way' it's an article about the biggest explosion ever witnessed by man.  It ROCKED our GALAXY!!!!    Which happened on Dec. 27.  Why isn't this on the front page of every newspaper.  CNN, FOX, MSNBC spend more time on wacko Jacko.

                  "One calculation has the giant flare on SGR 1806-20 unleashing about 10,000 trillion trillion trillion watts"

    We waste all that time battling amongst ourselves over control of this little blue marble.  And yet at any time something beyond our control and prevention could happen on the other side of the galaxy, and unleash an x-ray beam, or something totally frying us.  Actually it wouldn't be a bad idea I am pretty sure it will kill you instantly.  No atmosphere and all... and maybe, just maybe... it might give Michael Jack son a tan.

Thats just good o'l USA media not caring about anything beyond its own borders and Iraq. Oh yeah and all the bible thumpers here don't want to think that space exists, yes i have met a few of the whacks that think that space is made up, fake.... "we didn't land on the moon"... WTF.
Anyways, it was an amazing thing to happen and for us to be witnesses to and not die in the process.
